CNC lathe machining separates roughing and finishing to reduce the effects of cutting forces and cutting heat, so CNC lathe finishing will correct the deformation that occurs during roughing.
To reduce the influence of clamping force on the machining process, the following measures are taken to reduce the influence of clamping force during the machining process of CNC lathes:
① When radially clamping, the clamping force should not be concentrated on the radial section of the workpiece, but should be distributed over a larger area to reduce the pressure on the workpiece per unit area. Since the workpiece can be installed in the opening of a ring of suitable thickness, it can also be used to increase the contact area of special jaws when clamped together with this ring. When positioning the hole, an open clamping mandrel should be used.
② The clamping position should select a harder area on the part to improve the deformation of thin-walled parts under the action of clamping force.
③ Change the direction of the clamping force, and change the radial clamping to the axial clamping.
④ Make a rigid air gap or thread on the workpiece to reduce the clamping deformation, and use a special clamping jaw to cut the clamping air gap to the bottom.
