Why choose five-axis machining and the advantages of five-axis machining

As an experienced manufacturer engaged in CNC manufacturing for many years, Xiehe can provide precise 5-axis CNC machining services. Whether you need high-quality precision metal or plastic parts, we can provide automotive, medical, military, aerospace, machinery, machine tools, high-tech and more to customers worldwide, with excellent machining and programming skills, and 5 axis CNC Machining Center.

Our engineers and machinists can perform 5-axis machining service jobs and produce 5-axis machined parts with ease. No matter how complex the CNC machined part, every step is executed with care, delivering exceptional 5-axis machined components with the highest quality standards. Even if any issues arise along the way, we will keep running the job and tweaking until all issues are resolved. If you need a well-established and cost-effective CNC machining company, Xiehe can meet your expectations.

Why choose Xiehe 5-axis machining

Our 5-axis vertical machining center is equipped with a multi-position tool changer, which does not need to be set up on different machines, and can efficiently perform 5-axis machining of complex parts, saving time and cost.

The 5-axis machining service has a strong ability to provide precision machined products according to customer needs and custom designs, meeting or exceeding your expectations.

We can use 3/4/5-axis machining centers to process various materials, including aluminum, steel, copper, bronze, titanium, etc., to meet different specifications of precision CNC products.

With a complete process and quality control system, we evaluate the quality at each stage of our preparation, manufacturing and inspection to ensure that the quality of 5-axis CNC machining parts always meets the requirements.

Provide a range of secondary machining and finishing services for further processing, including 3/4 axis machining and milling, painting, sandblasting, anodizing, passivation, chrome plating, nickel plating, etc.

Competitive pricing, fast turnaround, increased productivity and on-time delivery for custom 5-axis milled parts.

The definition of 3-, 4- or 5-axis machining has to do with the number of directions in which the tool can move, which also determines the ability of the CNC machine tool to move the workpiece and the tool. A three-axis machining center can move a part in the X and Y directions, and the tool can move up and down along the Z axis, while on a five-axis machining center, the tool can move across the X, Y, and Z linear axes, as well as along the Z axis. Rotation on the A and B axes allows the tool to approach the workpiece from any direction and from any angle. 5-axis machining is different from 5-sided machining. Therefore, 5-axis CNC machining services offer endless possibilities for machining parts. Special processes such as hook surface processing, special-shaped processing, hollow processing, punching, and bevel cutting can all be completed by 5-axis CNC services.

Advantages of 5-axis machining

5-axis machined parts can be completed on a 5-axis machine tool, reducing fixture and setup preparation, saving a lot of time

Complex geometries can be machined easily while maintaining high productivity and efficiency

Can obtain excellent surface finish and improve the overall quality of 5-axis CNC parts

Extended functionality, higher accuracy, higher throughput and shorter lead times

Improve cutting conditions, maintain optimal cutting, and reduce damage to tools

5-axis machining and 3+2 machining

5-axis machining is different from 3+2-axis machining. 5-axis CNC milling or machining involves continuously adjusting the tool along all five axes to keep the tip of the tool optimally perpendicular to the part. Although 3+2 machining, also known as 5-sided machining or 5-axis indexing, it is actually a 3-axis procedure where the tool is fixed at an angle relative to the two axes of rotation.

3+2 machining needs to be stopped and started between each tool repositioning, while 5-axis machining does not, so its speed is greatly improved. In addition, 5-axis CNC machining is more capable and suitable for more applications. Generally, 3+2 machining is suitable for plane machining, and cannot complete inclined plane or special machining, while 5-axis machining center is suitable for various contour machining.
