Three important quality standards for CNC machining of parts
At present, almost all metal and plastic parts are CNC machined or assembled, we must know what are their quality standards, including their tolerances, precision and precision itself, in order to make your product better, so we must discuss these before we start Quote, rapid prototyping or low volume manufacturing.
Besides, when customers send us quotation drawings, if there is no clear tolerance requirement in the drawings, we will ask the customers for help. Because making an accurate quote is indeed an important factor. Different quality standards have completely different costs, which is why our sales team always asks customers to provide us before quoting.
Three quality standards for CNC machining of parts will be shared below
Part tolerances (what is the standard for the part or function and will you assemble this part)
Why is tolerance so important? Generally speaking, the tolerance is the allowable limit of variation of the object. Out of tolerance, the customer will reject the product because of problems when cnc machined precision parts are assembled to other parts. They won't match each other. Another reason is that the level of tolerance can affect the cost. The larger the tolerance, the higher the cost. The last reason is that for some very high tolerance parts, we have to judge whether our existing machine can produce it or not, it depends on the accuracy and precision of the machine itself.
Machine Accuracy (this will require our machines to have a high standard of accuracy, which needs to be adjusted every year)
Now the CNC machine tool market is very active. But with the development of numerical control technology, machine tools are also rapidly updated. Therefore, there are many types of CNC machine tools. It takes us a lot of energy to research which one is best for our own production. If most of your customers require very high tolerances, then you must choose a CNC machine with high precision. What is the accuracy of CNC machine tools? It refers to the degree to which the result of a measurement, calculation or specification conforms to the correct value or standard. But now it appears that different regions have different accuracy standards. Therefore, when the customer has a particularly high requirement for accuracy, it is necessary to negotiate the standard with him/her. In addition to accuracy, precision is also important.
Accuracy (both products and machines require higher accuracy)
Precision and accuracy are like twins. When we talk about precision, we think about accuracy. When customers demand high precision, they demand high precision too. Even in some cases, we consider precision to be accurate. But strictly speaking, they are different. So what is precision? It is the repeatability of successive measurements under the same conditions. Usually, we will make complete CNC machining of the same precision and high standard as the drawing or exceeding the drawing to meet the needs of customers,
One of our clients is from the medical industry. All parts require high tolerances. That is to say, CNC machine tools must have high precision and precision to meet his requirements. Tolerance, accuracy and precision are three key factors in the quality standard of CNC machining of parts. We must study them well and serve all our clients better and better.
