The rotary head also has an A-axis that can rotate around the X-axis, generally up to ±90 degrees, to achieve the same function as above.

Disadvantages: The workbench can also be designed to be very large, the body is huge, the rotation structure of the main shaft is relatively complicated, and the manufacturing cost is also high.

Advantages: The spindle processing is very flexible, and the design of the spindle rotation ensures a certain linear speed, which can improve the surface processing quality.

This structure is very popular for high-precision surface processing of molds, which is difficult for rotary machining centers with worktables.

Horizontal five-axis machining center, the rotary axis of this type of machining center also has two ways, one is that the horizontal spindle swings as a rotary axis, plus a rotary axis of the worktable, the spindle is vertically and horizontally converted to match the worktable Indexing, realize pentahedron processing on the workpiece.

Disadvantages: The rigidity of the main shaft is poor, but it does not perform linkage, which is suitable for different processing requirements of four-axis machining centers with vertical and horizontal conversion.

Advantages: easy and flexible processing, simple change of spindle vertical or horizontal rotation, low manufacturing cost, very practical.

The other is the traditional rotary axis of the worktable. The A-axis of the worktable set on the bed generally has a working range of +20° to -100°. There is also a turntable B-axis in the middle of the worktable, and the B-axis can rotate 360 degrees in both directions.

Disadvantages: The workbench is limited, the structure of the rotary shaft is relatively complicated, and the price is also expensive.
