Inventory of common problems in overall impeller processing

In recent years, as a key component of turbomachinery in aviation, aerospace, machinery, chemical and other industries, the application of integral impellers has become more and more extensive. Below, the editor briefly introduces several common problems in the processing of the overall impeller.

The flow path of the overall impeller is narrow, the blade is relatively long, and the rigidity is low. It is a thin-walled part and is easy to deform during processing. Due to its own structure and the effect of external cutting force, vibration marks will be generated at the inlet of the runner and the upper end of the blade during the machining process. Sometimes in order to avoid chatter marks, it is often necessary to change the sharpness of the tool, which will cause burrs at the inlet, outlet and edge of the blade. In order to ensure the overall surface quality of the impeller, the cutter should have enough space for chip removal and proper sharpness to obtain sufficient rigidity.

The depth of the narrowest blade in the groove is much larger than the diameter of the tool, and the distance between adjacent blades is very small. When grinding angles, the tool diameter is small and easy to break. The control of cutting depth is also a key technology.

The integral free-form surface impeller has a narrow flow path, serious blade distortion, and obvious backward tendency, which is easy to interfere during processing and difficult to process. Because some impellers have auxiliary blades, it is difficult to process the curved surface in segments to avoid interference.
