Impeller not only refers to the wheel disk equipped with movable blades, but also an integral part of the impulse turbine rotor. It also refers to the general term for the movable blades installed on the wheel disk. Impellers can be classified according to their shape and opening and closing conditions. As we all know, impeller processing is of extraordinary importance in my country's industrial production. Below, the editor will introduce to you some knowledge about preventing wear of the impeller?
Commonly used impeller materials include cast iron, bronze, stainless steel, manganese bronze, Monel alloy, INCONEL and non-metallic materials. Its non-metallic materials include PPS plastic, phenolic resin, etc.
Impeller wear prevention
The wear of the fan impeller is related to the composition, particle size, concentration, shape, impact speed, impact angle, chemical composition, properties, temperature and humidity of the abrasive. Uneven gas flow within the impeller accelerates wear. As measures to prevent impeller wear: first, to reduce dust and corrosive gases entering the fan, so the fan operating system must be modified; second, to try to make local wear more uniform, which requires improving the wear resistance of the impeller. If the wear resistance of the impeller is improved, materials with high hardness and good wear resistance can be used. It not only brings difficulties to the impeller manufacturing process, but is also unreasonable from an economic point of view. Therefore, it is an economical and reasonable solution to improve the surface quality of the fan impeller, surfacing or spray welding (spray coating) a wear-resistant layer on the severely worn parts of the impeller, and adding a layer of lining plate to the blades to achieve wear resistance.
Coating anti-wear coatings include resin anti-corrosion and wear-resistant coatings, rubber anti-corrosion and wear-resistant coatings, water-added glass and ceramic anti-corrosion and wear-resistant materials, etc.
