Tool setting steps for five-axis machining

In terms of technical difficulty, the tool setting technology of the five-axis machine tool center is difficult. In the CNC machining center, many technicians often make mistakes due to the difficulty in the tool setting mode for curved surface parts. But there is also a way to check the knife. On-machine tool setting

Under normal circumstances, this kind of tool method generally determines the mutual positional relationship between each tool and the workpiece in the machine tool coordinate system through tool setting.

1. Compare the lengths of the tools, select the length and carry out tool setting in the Z direction, and use the tool setting value at this time as the Z value of the workpiece coordinate system.

2. Install T01 and T02 tools on the spindle in turn, and determine the values of A and B as the length compensation value through tool setting.

3. Fill in the determined length compensation value into the setting page. When G43 is used to a certain extent, the length compensation is a negative value.

The steps are as follows

1. The XY direction alignment setting is as before, input the offset value in the XY item in G54, and set the Z item to zero.

2. Align the Z direction with a block gauge, read the value Z1 of the Z item in the machine tool coordinate system, and fill in the length compensation value H1 after deducting the height of the block gauge.

Install T2 on the main shaft, align it with a block gauge, read Z2, deduct the height of the block gauge and fill it in H2.

3. First use the tool presetter to accurately measure the axial and radial dimensions of each tool outside the machine tool, determine the length compensation value of each tool, and then use a tool to perform Z-direction tool setting on the machine tool to determine the workpiece coordinates Tie.
