If the datum is long enough and the datum section is adjacent to the inspected section, the error caused can be so small that it can be ignored.

3. Use straightness approximation to replace coaxiality. Using a three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine to measure coaxiality is a good choice. However, axis offset has a greater impact on workpiece assembly. Measuring axis offset is actually measuring the straightness of the axis connection. The method works better and a comprehensive rubric can be easily produced to verify the accuracy of the method.
