1. Prototype

Before making a silicone mold, you need to make a prototype. The prototype can be made of the more common ABS material and can be processed by CNC. Or 3D print it out. The surface effect of the prototype determines the surface effect of the batch prototypes that will be copied later, so the original version must be done well and beautiful!

2. Silicone mold

After the prototype is ready, start making the silicone mold. First, fix the prototype, fix the bakelite board or ABS board in the 5 directions of the prototype (left, right, front and bottom), and pour silica gel! After eight hours of drying, the silicone mold is cut open and the prototype is taken out. At this point the silicone mold is ready.

3. Injection type

Bake the mold for 1 hour at a constant temperature of 100 degrees, then take out the mold and let it cool down naturally, or use a fan to cool it down. Do not cool it down in water. If you cool it down in water, the product will definitely shrink! After cooling to room temperature, the liquid resin material is injected into the silicone mold and allowed to dry. The service life of the transparent silicone mold is about 8 to 10 mold times. After injecting the material, place it in the oven for 2 hours, take it out and cool it down to room temperature naturally, then open the mold and take out the product.
